Outdoor Team Building Activities – FAQs
What happens if it’s raining on the day?
Your host facilitator will liaise with you in the days leading up to your outdoor team building activity regarding the weather forecast and plans for adverse weather. If it’s only drizzling on the day & you would like to proceed outdoors, your host will come along with emergency ponchos for each of your delegates. If the weather is too adverse to proceed outdoors, we will come along with an indoor team building activity to host instead. All we ask is that you have an indoor space organised for the wet weather event.
What do we wear?
Active wear for your outdoor team building activity is great but not a necessity. None of our outdoor team building events are overly physical, however, we want you to be comfortable! Please ensure your delegates are wearing comfortable clothes & shoes.
What do we need to bring?
We recommend bringing a hat & water bottle to all outdoor team building events. Pinnacle will have sunscreen available for all delegates to use. If your event is being held at a conference venue, talk to your event coordinator about providing a water station or water bottles for your delegates. If your outdoor team building event is taking place in a public location such as a park or beach, talk to us if you would like us to provide bottled water for an additional fee.
Do we need to organise a council permit?
Council venues such as parks, ovals, beaches & reserves generally require a council permit to be used for outdoor team building activities. Should a council permit be required for your outdoor team event we will organise this for you on your behalf. We will advise you if the event you have chosen requires a council permit & how much the council permit fee is.
How many teams will my group be split into?
All our outdoor team building events are different & we will split your group up accordingly. For our scavenger hunt style team activities such as the Amazing Race, City Scramble or Ransom – teams of 6 – 8 people tend to work best. Head-to-head style outdoor team building activities such as Survivor, Mini Olympics & Carnivale suit slightly larger teams of 7-10 people per team. Pinnacle can either split your group up into random teams on the day of the event OR if you’d prefer to allocate the teams yourself, just send us through a list prior to the event day.
