The Mini Beach Olympics requires a large, flat, preferably grassed area such as an oval, park, reserve or beach. If your conference venue does not have such a space available, we will need to attain a permit for council owned land. We will do all the liaising with council on your behalf; however, any permit fees are an additional cost.
We bring the passion, energy and excitement of the Olympic Games to your conference with this outdoor team building event. The Mini Beach Olympics is a fun activity that provokes competitiveness and plenty of laughter yet doesn’t intimidate participants who may be lacking in sporting or physical prowess. The activities are team based challenges more about teamwork than physical ability…… there is certainly no 100 meter sprint! Mini Beach Olympics

Key Facts
The Mini Beach Olympics team building event will see your delegates divided into teams of approximately 8-10 people per team.
Teams rotate through a series of predetermined activity sites competing head to head with other teams along the way.
We work with you to choose the sporting challenges included to ensure everyone is catered for.
The team with the most points at the end of the activity are the winners and receive the Gold Medal Medallions.
This event requires a large, flat grassed location such as an oval, park, reserve or beach.
For any activity held on council owned land a permit is required. We will organise this on your behalf and add the permit cost to your booking.
Example Challenges
Volleyball
Who can out-serve, out-strike and out-block the opposition?
Dodgeball
Teams eliminate their opposition by ‘branding’ each player, using soft balls of course!
Continuous Cricket
Calling all budding Don Bradman’s! Here is your chance to shine, with a traditional, yet crazy game of Aussie Continuous Cricket.
Catapults
Teams fire tennis balls via replicated catapults towards their team members in a targeted catching zone.
Elimination Footy
An elimination game of who can survive the longest… teams kick a football at an opposition team over a net. Catch the ball and you’re safe, drop it and your remaining team mates are left to cover your area.
Bamboo Towers
Teams build a free-standing tower using bamboo sticks and display their team number at the top. The winners are the team with the highest tower.

Frequently Asked Questions
We will liaise with you in the lead-up to the event & tailor the challenges to suit the demographics & abilities of your group. We want your delegates to feel safe whenever participating in one of our events, and we’ll never ask anyone to do something they don’t feel comfortable doing.
For most groups we would suggest teams of approximately 8-10 people. We can either divide your group into teams randomly on the day or we’re happy for you to predetermine the teams in advance. We will also come along with coloured bandanas for each of your teams to wear.
If it’s only drizzling and you would still like to proceed outdoors, we will come along with emergency ponchos for your group to use. Should proceeding outdoors not be feasible, we will supply a wet weather back up event; we simply need an indoor location to host this in. Usually the indoor location is your conference room or your office.
We will come along with gold Pinnacle medallions for the winning team. It is totally up to you whether you would like to provide additional prizes. We suggest keeping the monetary value to a minimum e.g. boxes of chocolates, bottles of wine, movie vouchers.
For events onsite at conference venues or resorts the venue can supply water. If your event is at your office or in a public space chat to us about providing water.
“On behalf of Design & Build I would like to extend my thanks to Pinnacle Group for our Mini Olympics Christmas party organised with you recently. Our staff have all been talking about Friday and how much fun it was. It was a fantastic day and it has quickly been labelled as our best Christmas party to date. Our facilitator and his team went above and beyond to make it an activity that was fun, relaxed, engaging and the perfect level of ‘competitive’ to really help our two offices come together as a team. I think it will be a hard one to beat next year and we will most definitely be in touch again next time we are looking into organising a team activity!”
Design & Build
“Our company participated in the Beach Olympics activity for our annual conference. The whole process was a smooth, stress-free and exciting one. The team at Pinnacle were actively involved throughout the process and tailored ti the activity to suit our companies wants and needs.
We have used Pinnacle previously and will continue to do so for all of our large company Team Bonding Activities. Our office had such a blast and walked away with a huge sense of pride. As we have offices based all around Australia and some across the world it was a fantastic setting for some of our remote staff to work closely with our Sydney team.
Our facilitator and his team set up an engaging and exciting number of activities that had all skill sets from a range of people to use. We were extremely happy with this event and another amazing opportunity to partner with Pinnacle.”
