The Scramble is a modified version of our Amazing Race event for those groups tight on time and or budget.

This exciting outdoor event will see teams race around the local area completing tasks such as photo missions, collecting items, solving IQ Tests and passing through roadblock challenges. The event is tailored to suit your location. The City Scramble is perfect for urban areas and the Resort Scramble is a great option for those staying at a conference venue.

Key Facts

The Scramble team building event will see your delegates divided into teams of approximately 7 people per team.

Each team will be issued with a map and clues to the “roadblock” activity sites and team tasks hidden around the local area.

We can host this event anywhere, be it your conference venue, the Sydney CBD or urban areas in Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Central Coast, South Coast and the Southern Highlands.

The Resort Scramble (hosted onsite at your conference venue) will consist of roadblock activity site(s) and bonus point IQ tests hidden around the resort.

The City Scramble (hosted in urban areas) will consist of roadblock activity site(s) as well as photo missions and scavenger items.

Teams aim to earn maximum points at each roadblock before moving onto the next site. We have a huge list of activity site options designed to suit your team, event location and your budget.

Often this event is tailored to suit particular conference themes and outcomes; we have a vast array of ideas on how this can be achieved.

The first team to the finish location is not necessarily the winner, instead the winning team is determined by the number of points accumulated.

Example Roadblock Challenges

Zoom

Teams must arrange the order of the famous picture story Zoom.

Wonder Word

Using 9 letters teams must make as many words as possible with bonus points of the 9 letter word.

Eddy the Egg

Teams construct a space capsule device out of straws and tape to catch a raw egg dropped from 2 metres.

Skyscraper

Teams must work together to build a lofty skyscraper using all seven building blocks without the structure toppling over.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Scramble is a modified or mini version of our Amazing Race program. We are able to offer the Scramble at a more cost-effective price, as it runs for less time, includes less roadblock activity sites and requires less staffing than the Amazing Race.

We are a completely mobile service & will bring the Scramble to you! The City Scramble is perfect for urban areas and the Resort Scramble a great option for those staying at a conference venue.

No, we are flexible! We will modify the Scramble route to suit your desired start & finish locations.

No, the Scramble is not a race as the winning team is not the first to make it to the finish line. Instead, the winning team is determined by the number of points accumulated by each team. The physicality of the event & checkpoints will be tailored to suit your group. We’ll also ensure there’s ample time for teams to make it between the various check-points so there’s no need for your group to be overly exerting themselves physically.

If it’s only drizzling and you would still like to proceed outdoors, we will come along with emergency ponchos for your group to use. Should proceeding outdoors not be feasible, we will supply a wet weather back up event; we simply need an indoor location to host this in. Usually the indoor location is your conference room or your office.

We will come along with gold Pinnacle medallions for the winning team. It is totally up to you whether you would like to provide additional prizes. We suggest keeping the monetary value to a minimum e.g. boxes of chocolates, bottles of wine, movie vouchers.
