Your boss has been taken hostage and it is up to you to solve the clues, undertake the team challenges and earn the ransom money in time to save them from the kidnappers! The Ransom event is a fun teamwork challenge where your group is divided into teams that race to save the boss from unidentified kidnappers. Time is ticking! If the ransom is not paid within the allocated time frame the kidnappers will take drastic measures. This is an outdoor event sending teams to various activity sites around the local area with all teams converging on the final location with their ransom money. Who will be the first to save the boss? The Ransom team building event will see your delegates divided into teams of approximately 7 people per team.
Each team will be issued with a map and cryptic clues to the activity challenge sites hidden around the local area where teams will compete to earn the ransom money.
Awaiting the groups at each activity challenge location are team-based activities that require problem solving, communication, teamwork and ingenuity to complete.
Upon successful completion of each task the team will be issued with the ransom money from that site. Teams aim to earn all the money required to pay the ransom & retrieve what has been taken from the group e.g. the boss, the company logo, sensitive company documents – the options of what we can take “ransom” are endless!
The first team to successfully receive the ransom money from each site and find the finish location will save the boss from the kidnappers and win the event.
We can host this event anywhere be it your conference venue, the Sydney CBD or urban areas in Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Central Coast, South Coast and the Southern Highlands.

Code Breaker
The team is provided with a Morse code device that reveals the combination lock to the briefcase containing the clues + map.
Number Triangle
Nine numbered tiles are laid out in a triangle shape. The team moves the tiles so that the addition of the numbers is equal on each side.
Catapults
Teams fire tennis balls via replicated catapults towards a landing zone where strategically positioned team members await ready to catch.
Skyscraper
Teams must work together to build a lofty skyscraper using all seven building blocks without the structure toppling over.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! Usually the first team to successfully receive the ransom money from each site and find the finish location will save the boss from the kidnappers and win the event. However, if you would prefer to steer clear of the race format, we can adjust the finish of the activity to suit.
Kidnapping the boss mid-presentation at your conference is a great & theatrical way to kick off the event, however should your boss like to participate in the activity there are plenty of other ransom options we can kidnap e.g. we may have stolen your conference theme, the company logo or sensitive company documents. If your boss isn’t going to be present for the conference, we can also use a pre-recorded video for the kidnapping.
If it’s only drizzling and you would still like to proceed outdoors, we will come along with emergency ponchos for your group to use. Should proceeding outdoors not be feasible, we will supply a wet weather back up event; we simply need an indoor location to host this in. Usually the indoor location is your conference room or your office.
We will come along with gold Pinnacle medallions for the winning team. It is totally up to you whether you would like to provide additional prizes. We suggest keeping the monetary value to a minimum e.g. boxes of chocolates, bottles of wine, movie vouchers.
