Two decades of empowering teams to achieve
We started in 2004 as Pinnacle Corporate Health, with one venue partnership at Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley and three activities on the books: Initiative Matrix, Casino Night, and Trivia Night. In 2006, Will Mason joined as co-Director; we moved into our own space and rebranded as Pinnacle Team Events Pty Ltd. That was the point we shifted focus from corporate health and wellness to corporate team building.
By 2007 we had four permanent staff, venue partnerships across Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Port Stephens, and the Central Coast, and 80 events a year. That year also brought our first corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity, Tikes on Bikes, which is still one of our most requested programs. The global financial crisis in 2008 reduced operations to almost nothing, and rebuilding from that point shaped how we’ve run the business ever since.
By 2010, we were delivering over 200 events a year across a portfolio of more than 75 activities, and we’d extended our service area to Sydney, the Blue Mountains, the South Coast, and the Southern Highlands. When the pandemic cancelled live events in 2020, we built more than 15 virtual team-building activities to keep teams connected, and we retained every permanent staff member throughout.
In 2022, we expanded into the national market and were selected as the national corporate delivery partner for charities including SolarBuddy and WIRES. In 2024, after a decade as a lead facilitator, Mitch Trevillion stepped into the role of co-director alongside Will Mason.
Today, we offer more than 110 team-building activities, employ more than 15 permanent staff members, and deliver over 1000 corporate events each year across Australia. We’re trusted by 50+ venues across Australia to deliver events for their conference clients.

Facilitated workshops that tie the exercise directly to workplace behaviour, delivered by accredited facilitators. We’ve been running charity team building since 2007, and it’s still one of the things we’re best known for. CSR activities give your team a genuine reason to work together, and they put your corporate social responsibility commitments in the hands of the people who work for you rather than leaving them on a page in an annual report.

Choosing your charity
We’re happy to work with the charitable organisation of your choice. If you don’t have one in mind, we’ll approach charities we’ve worked with before or that are local to you and recommend a good fit. We’re trusted by renowned Australian charities including WIRES, SolarBuddy, and The Good Box, and we’re the national corporate delivery partner for all three, a role we’ve held with SolarBuddy since 2022.
You don’t have to pick a dedicated charity activity to give back, either. Clients have taken a standard Amazing Race and built a fundraising element into it, so the day looks like any other team event and finishes with a donation.

How we design and deliver your event
Everything starts with your goal
Most clients have some idea of what they want from an activity, whether that’s working on communication, bringing separate departments together as one team, focusing on leadership, or just having fun. Far fewer are sure which program gets them there. Don’t worry, that’s our job. We’ll work closely with you to understand your needs and outcomes, then recommend the activities that suit you best.
Professional facilitation, not just supervision
With more than 20 years in the corporate events sector, our facilitators are experienced at reading the room, keeping energy high, adapting on the fly, and ensuring every delegate feels engaged and valued. Every lead facilitator holds a current first aid certificate. For most events, your host facilitator is onsite at least an hour before the start time, and larger events get more setup time.
Tailored to your organisation
No two events are ever the same. We’ll work with you to creatively build your conference theme, a new product, your core values, or any other idea into the challenges or the activity as a whole. Every program in the catalogue is fully customisable, and tailoring is standard rather than an add-on.
Building in a debrief
A debrief is what turns a fun afternoon into something your team applies on Monday. It gives delegates a structured platform to acknowledge what they’ve learned about themselves, about others, and about how they interact. Tell us your desired outcomes, and we’ll link them to the right activity and tailor the debrief questions to suit.
Designed for everyone in the room
We want every delegate to feel safe, and we’ll never ask anyone to do something they don’t feel comfortable doing. Activities are designed so that different strengths matter, meaning the person who solves the puzzle and the person who runs fastest both contribute to the same result. Pinnacle Team Events also carries $20m public liability insurance.

If you haven’t settled on a location, tell us the region you’re considering, and we’ll recommend a suitable venue. Two decades of running events across Australia means we’ve got working relationships with hotels, resorts, and conference venues in most of the places you’re likely to be looking.
Planning, Booking and Practical Details
Start with an enquiry through the contact form, by phone on 1300 625 034, or by email. The form asks for your state, location, group size, approximate date, activity type, and primary goal, which lets our coordinators come back to you with genuinely relevant options rather than a generic brochure. Same-day quotes are available.
- Lead time: usually 2-3 weeks. Larger events need more, up to 2 to 3 months. We’ve delivered events on 24 hours’ notice more than once, so it’s always worth asking.
- Wet weather: every outdoor event includes a wet-weather backup event in the price. We just need an indoor space to run it, usually your conference room or office.
- What to wear: for outdoor activities, comfortable shoes and casual clothing suitable for mild activity. Your facilitator will confirm anything specific beforehand.
- Council approval: activities held on council land, such as parks, reserves, ovals, or beaches, require council approval, which we arrange. Application and hire fees are added to your final invoice.
- Water: conference venues and resorts usually supply it. For events at your office or in a public space, talk to us, and we’ll sort it out.
- A/V: All team development workshops require a projector and a screen. For groups over 30, we recommend a microphone and speaker.
- Prizes: competitive activities are scored on a points basis, and winners receive genuine fake-gold Pinnacle medallions. If you’d like to add your own prizes, we suggest keeping the value modest.

How much notice do you need to book an event?
Usually 2 to 3 weeks, since every event needs pre-planning to run well on the day. Larger events require more lead time, up to 2-3 months. That said, we’ve come to the rescue for plenty of groups and delivered an event on 24 hours’ notice, so it’s always worth asking.
What happens if it rains?
