Make a real impact with our school backpack donation event! In this hands-on team building experience, your delegates will assemble and personalise education packs filled with essential school supplies for children in need. Teams will take part in a series of STEM theme lead-in challenges, then delegates will assemble education packs, each thoughtfully curated to empower these young minds. These packs include essential items such as backpacks, notebooks, pencils, rulers, erasers, highlighters, glue sticks, kinetic sand, protractors, compasses, scissors, pencil sharpeners, and pencil cases. There are no teams in the Backpacks for Bright Futures event. Instead, the entire group works as ‘one team’ – united towards a common goal. The goal is achieved when all the backpacks have been donated to the charity representative, and your delegates gain an understanding of the true meaning of the session: the bigger picture of giving back to local children by providing them with the tools they need for a bright future.
The Backpacks for Bright Futures activity requires an indoor space set with trestle tables for all the backpacks and materials.
We will liaise with you to ensure the event is tailored to your company. We can include your products and we can partner with your preferred charity group to ensure that the event has maximum impact.
Optional Extra: Barefoot Investor for Kids book ($25.00 per backpack) OR other STEM related book.
Example Lead-in Challenges
Mathematics: Nine numbered tiles are laid out in a triangle shape. The team moves the tiles so that the addition of the numbers is equal on each side.
English: Using 9 letters, teams must make as many words as possible with bonus points for finding the 9-letter word.
Science & Technology: Teams race against the clock to build the tallest tower using only foil.
