If you’ve ever wondered what makes a Pinnacle Team Events facilitator tick then you have come to the right place! Each month we will be taking 5 minutes to chat with each of our facilitators about their lives both inside and outside of work.
What I love about being a Pinnacle Facilitator:
I love that most of the time it doesn’t even feel like work! I’m usually having as much fun as the clients while I’m running around on the beach during an Amazing Race or dealing blackjack at a Casino Night.
How long I have been working for Pinnacle:
I had my first gig with Pinnacle in January last year.
My favourite Pinnacle team event to facilitate:
I love doing the Amazing Race events because you’re usually outside in a beautiful location and the challenges are heaps of fun.
Most embarrassing moment as a Pinnacle facilitator:
There have been a few but I’d have to say the time I spent a good five minutes explaining the rules of a challenge to a group only to discover that they weren’t actually participating in the event. To be fair, they could’ve stopped me at any time.
My favourite hobbies are:
I love reading, running, playing guitar and drinking beer (not necessarily in that order).
Band I’m listening to at the moment/podcast recommendation:
I’ve been revisiting Kings of Leon lately. Also getting very into a podcast recommended to me by a friend called ‘S-Town’.
What was the last book you read?:
‘The Apprentice: Trump, Russia and the Subversion of American Democracy’ by Greg Miller.
Favourite holiday?:
Road tripping across America in an RV with some good friends a few years back
Have you ever had a nickname?:
Nothing too interesting – I sometimes get Woody.
I am frightened by _____ :
Sharks, snakes and awkward silences.
Favourite movie of all time:
Forrest Gump (can quote a good 90% of it I reckon).
First concert I went to:
Grinspoon at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre in 2003.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
So many places. I’d love to give New York a crack one day.
What makes you angry:
Slow walkers in shopping centres and not getting my sauce at the McDonald’s drive thru.
What makes you laugh the most:
My friends and early Adam Sandler movies.
What song would you sing at karaoke night?:
My go-to jams are Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus and Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind.
