Our band will bring along a PA system and basic stage lighting for their performance. For any other theme decorations we suggest leaving this to the professionals! If you would like some suggestions on how to theme your event just ask us! From hay bales to a mechanical bull we have plenty of ideas to create a Country and Western party atmosphere.
An evening event that is sure to get the party started! HonkyTonk presents a post dinner band formed to host corporate functions and get delegates moving in unison on the dance floor. The band specialise in Country and Western whole group dances bringing to life Barn, Line, Square and Bush Dancing. The band has an extensive repertoire of both contemporary and iconic Australian and Americana. We guarantee that our musicians are of the highest quality and professionalism and will deliver a night that your delegates will be talking about for years to come. There are no structured teams in our HonkyTonk event. Instead, the size of the groups will change depending on the style of each dance. Our facilitator will call for a range of different pairings – solo, partnered, small groups or whole group involvement!
All dances are taught and ‘called’ by our facilitator on the night.
Music ranges from American country and western– Dolly, Kenny and Johnny– to Australian classics done in our own style that pays homage to great Australian artists and bands such as Paul Kelly, Jimmy Barnes, the Easybeats, Men at Work, AC/DC and many others.
This event can be tailored to suit your time frame, budget and location.
Our HonkyTonk is well suited to any style of event whether it be a sit-down meal or cocktail style.
We definitely encourage your group to dress up in a Country and Western theme! This adds a great energy to the night and ensures your delegates will look the part as they dance the night away as a whole group.

Four Piece Band
Our most popular option! No fixed timeframe (within reason) and your choice between guitar, bass, drums, violin or harmonica! Includes our dance facilitator/caller and basic stage lighting.
Three Piece Band
Best suited to smaller groups of 30 or less people or for those groups after a more low-key evening. Fixed playing times e.g. 2 x 50 minute sets. Includes our dance facilitator/caller, guitar, drums and your choice between bass or harmonica.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our band will bring along a PA system and basic stage lighting (four piece band only). Depending on your group size, all we will need is a stage or central area for the performance plus a large, cleared area for the dancefloor.
If your event is scheduled to take place during the course of dinner it would be great if you could organise a supplier meal for our band members.
Yes – the band are based in Sydney so if your venue is more than 1 hours drive from Sydney the band may require accommodation at or near the venue.
