The CSI Night requires an indoor room with one table per team of approximately 8 delegates. We will also need space to set up the crime scene and a stage or central area for groups to perform their re-enactments.
A murder has been committed and it is up to you to solve the crime. The CSI Night is a hilarious “skit night” activity designed to coincide with your evening meal with teams performing after the main course. This is your chance to be just like the investigative gurus that make up the CSI teams on the popular TV show. Delegates must carefully inspect the crime scene complete with victim, weapons, clues and police tape. As a table group, delegates prepare a re-enactment of the crime to portray their version of events. Each group will perform a 2-5 minute skit aiming to impress the judges with their investigative skills but more so aiming to entertain the crowd! The CSI Night team building event will see your delegates divided into teams of approximately 8 people per team. At the commencement of the evening, your delegates will be informed that a crime has been committed and they must work together to solve the crime. Teams must then investigate the crime scene and the forensic information that surrounds the murder victim, such as a gun, a knife, a hair dryer plus more twisted clues. The clues can be tailored to suit your group e.g. your CEO’s business card left at the scene of the crime. Teams are then allocated time to gather their story and prepare to re-enact their own version of events to the remaining crowd of fellow investigators. Teams use the props, characters and any key pieces of evidence that appear at the scene. The rest is left up to the interpretation and imagination of each team. The re-enactments then take place after dinner with each team taking to the stage to present their version of events. Points will be awarded for accuracy, creativity and entertainment. The team with the most points at the conclusion of the event will be hailed the winners! A great event for a lively and competitive group who aren’t afraid to get up and perform in front of a crowd – your delegates will be the stars of the show! Fun Communication Collaboration Teamwork Problem Solving Friendly Competition Entertainment For groups over 20 people all we need is a microphone and AUX connection. Let us know if your venue does not have this kind of equipment available and we can chat to you about the hire options for a portable PA system. We do not require a projector and screen, or any paper or pens for this event. We will come along with all other materials required for the activity including costumes! Yes! As your activity will be taking place during the course of dinner it would be great if you could organise a supplier meal for our host. Yes! We can tailor the crime scene and forensic clues to suit your theme. If you’d like to incorporate content from the conference session earlier in the day or simply implicate someone from your office such as the CEO just let us know, we are more than happy to incorporate these into your evening. “Thank you to our facilitator for organising such a great night for our CSI night at our event in August. We have had excellent feedback from our delegates and think this really worked well as an icebreaker for the group. Our facilitator was a pleasure to deal with and was well liked by all attendees. Thank you.” “As in previous years, everything went smoothly – your team makes it so easy! Our facilitator did an exceptional job as always, and our staff were totally engaged in our CSI night. It was heaps of fun, with lots of laughter and just a little bit of competitiveness.”
