At Pinnacle Team Events, trust matters to us just as much on this page as it does out on the field. Whether you’re requesting a quote, signing up for our newsletter, or bringing your team along to one of our events, we want you to know exactly what happens to your personal information and why.
This Privacy Policy explains how Pinnacle Team Events Pty Ltd (ABN 22 107 388 492), trading as Pinnacle Team Events, collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It applies to everyone who visits our website, contacts us, books an event with us, applies for a role with us, or takes part in one of our team-building activities as a delegate.

2. The Personal Information We Collect
We only collect the personal information we genuinely need to plan your event, respond to your enquiry, or run our business well. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Contact details, such as your name, company, job title, email address and phone number
- Event details, such as your event location, estimated date, group size, the type of experience you’re after and your main goal for the day, along with any other details you share with us through our quote form or in conversation
- Special requirements, such as dietary requirements, accessibility needs or other health-related information you or your delegates share with us so we can plan a safe and enjoyable event for everyone. We only ever use this information to plan and deliver your event
- Newsletter details, being your email address, if you subscribe to our “Stay Informed” updates
- Careers information, such as your name, contact details, resume and cover letter, if you apply for a role with us
- Website usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you found our website, collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools (see Section 8, Cookies and Website Analytics)
- Publicly available information, such as a review you leave us on Google. We may display this on our website, but it’s information you’ve already chosen to make public
3. How We Collect Your Personal Information
Most of the personal information we hold comes directly from you, whether that’s through our quote request form, over the phone, by email, when you sign up to our newsletter, or when you apply for a role with us.
Sometimes we collect personal information indirectly. If your employer books a Pinnacle event on your behalf, they may share your contact details with us so we can coordinate your team’s participation. We also collect some information automatically through cookies and analytics tools when you browse our website.
4. How We Hold and Protect Your Personal Information
We store your personal information securely within our website, booking and email systems, and we limit access to Pinnacle staff who need it to do their job.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including password protection and restricted staff access.
If we no longer need your personal information and aren’t required by law to keep it, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it (see Section 11, How Long We Keep Your Information).
5. Why We Collect, Use and Disclose Your Personal Information
We collect, use and disclose your personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote for your event
- plan, coordinate and deliver your booked event, including sharing relevant details with venues, facilitators and, where your event is held on public land, local councils for approval
- manage our relationship with you, including invoicing and account administration
- send you updates, team building ideas and offers through our newsletter, if you’ve opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time; see Section 9, Marketing Communications)
- improve our website and the way we deliver our services
- consider your application if you apply for a role with us
- meet our legal, insurance and accounting obligations
We don’t use your personal information to make automated decisions that affect your rights, and we don’t sell or trade your personal information to anyone.
6. Who We Share Your Personal Information With
We may share your personal information with:
- the venues, facilitators and event partners we work with to plan and deliver your event
- local councils, where your event is held on public land such as a park or beach and requires approval
- charity partners such as WIRES, SolarBuddy and The Good Box, if you choose to run a charity or CSR event with us
- service providers who support our business, such as our website host, email provider and analytics tools
- our professional advisers, such as our accountant, insurer or lawyer, where reasonably necessary
- government bodies or regulators, where the law requires it
We don’t sell or trade your personal information to anyone, and we only share what’s reasonably necessary for these purposes.
7. Sending Information Overseas
Some of the service providers we use to run our website and understand how it’s used, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, may store or process information on servers located overseas, including in the United States.
When this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information continues to be handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
8. Cookies and Website Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use our site and to help us improve it. Cookies are small files stored on your device that don’t usually identify you personally.

9. Marketing Communications
If you subscribe to our “Stay Informed” newsletter, we’ll send you occasional updates, team-building ideas and special offers. We won’t flood your inbox.

10. Accessing and Correcting Your Personal Information
You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it’s wrong, by contacting us using the details in Section 15, Contact Us.
We’ll respond to your request as soon as we reasonably can. In some circumstances, we may not be able to give you full access to your information, for example, if it would affect someone else’s privacy. If that’s the case, we’ll explain why.
11. How Long We Keep Your Information
We only keep your personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by law. For example, we’re generally required to keep financial records for five years under Australian tax law.
Once we no longer need your information, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it.
